AES protects confidential information from cyber threats in the following ways:

  • Investigators sign non-disclosure agreements.
  • Investigators and key staff attend AES PII/Cybersecurity Training each year.
  • Investigators and key staff comply with Privacy Act requirements and additional regulations.
  • Data is protected via encryption, private systems, and designated files and saved on an external backup system.
  • Secured, encrypted, and designated folders are created for each assigned case on a shared system with role-based access control (RBAC).
  • $1M liability insurance
